Hand-rolled green tea when brewed unfurls creating a floral but not overly grassy aroma and an almost peach-like taste. Similar to our Golden Earrings each pearl is hand rolled with jasmine steamed into the leaves making it a very delicate treat.
The leaves are the colour of jade green and possess the shape of a spiral shell. The refreshing and slightly sweet taste of the tea makes it a great tea for summer.
The Chinese have been drinking green tea for centuries and it is now well known that green tea improves cardiovascular health reduces the risk of cancer and aids with weight loss. Green tea comes from the same plant as black tea but is harvested at a younger age. It is consumed "fresh" while black tea is consumed roasted and oxidised. Green tea is thus less processed and retains more of its nutrients and antioxidants than black tea.
Place 1 1/2 of tea spoon of tea in tea pot.
Boil Water to 85℃ to 90℃ (Pref Filtered Water).
Brew tea up to 1 1/2 minutes (remove tea after brew time).
Repeat the brewing up to 4 times.
