About the Workshop
Tea Journal is delighted to once again collaborate with a talented local artist — Nina, founder of KISSUU Candles — for a sensory candle-making experience that blends creativity, mindfulness, and storytelling through scent.
In this immersive session, guests will explore their personal scent stories — discovering which fragrances speak to them, how scent connects to emotion and memory, and how to express that through a personalised candle they craft from scratch.
Each participant will:

Curate their own signature scent blend

Hand-pour a full-sized personalised candle (40–50 hour burn time)

Design a custom candle label and decorate a keepsake box

Receive a mini gift from KISSUU Candles

Enjoy Tea Journal’s signature teas and chiffon cakes throughout the session
Workshop Flow (approx. 2 hours)
1. Welcome & Introduction
A warm welcome and introduction to the world of scent, mood, and the stories that inspire fragrance creation.
2. Scent Curation
Experiment with a variety of fragrance notes and blend them to create your own personal scent profile.
3. Candle Pouring
Hands-on candle making — pour your custom blend and bring your scent to life.
4. Tea & Connection Time
While the candles set, unwind with Tea Journal’s carefully brewed teas and house-made chiffon cakes. Enjoy a moment of calm and connection with fellow guests.
5. Label Design & Box Decoration
Personalise your candle with a custom label and decorate a keepsake box to complete your creation.
A mindful experience
This workshop is designed to be slow, intentional, and creative — a beautiful way to unwind, connect, and create something meaningful to take home. The experience perfectly complements Tea Journal’s calm and welcoming space, and we’re so excited to bring this collaboration to life together with Nina and KISSUU Candles.
